Uniform Buying Guide

Color
Usually a determining factor in your choice of uniform, color can either help or hinder your cause. The most popular colorways such as red/white, royal blue/white, black/white, and navy/white are easier to find than say orange/black or even purple/white. The best advice we can offer is to decide on your choice of color before you begin your search for a uniform.

Availability
Inventory levels fluctuate during the course of the year so much so that we recommend checking availability at least twice during the selection process. We strongly suggest you offer your dealer of choice three options so as to maximize your choice of getting a uniform you prefer.

Price
Soccer Connections calculates your uniform price by assessing a number of different variables. The total retail dollar value of your purchase as a function of quantity and unit price is the most important determination of the set price. The following information is your guideline for determining the discount off of a manufacturer's suggested retail price:

Please keep in mind that many companies offer special program incentives to colleges, high schools, and clubs. Usually the more prolific the school or club the better the incentive. Also, the bigger the club the more apt the vendor will offer special concessions in order to outfit that club. Please ask your dealer about any kind of special programs as the cost savings should get passed on to you.

Style
The factor people most often criticize is the style. Therefore, understand the needs of your team/club. How unique a style are you looking for? Do you want a custom made uniform? Do you have a plan in place for deciding on a new uniform should the existing one be discontinued? How many seasons do you expect to wear the uniform before buying a new one? How many players do you expect to add or drop in the years to come and are you planning on buying back old uniforms? Will girls and boys be wearing the same uniform? Does the uniform come in youth sizes as well as adult sizes? Realistically, most vendors will keep styles around for three years. Potentially a popular style will remain in line for more than that time period. Never believe a dealer or manufacturer's representative when they tell you that a style will be around forever. In today's competitive market, nothing is certain. At the time of your decision, keep the aforementioned questions in the forefront of your thought process. If you are unsure how many players will be added to your roster, consider buying one or more jerseys if you feel comfortable you will use them at some point in time (i.e., lost uniforms, guest players, etc.).
